I am now a member of the Northern Print Studio where I have been rekindling my love of relief printing using a variety of methods and presses. I will show you some of the results as and when I can. I have done some woodcutting more of which is to follow but it is mainly monoprinting which I have concentrated on.

This ‘monotype’ work I have done in my studio involves brushing thinned oil paint onto a glass plate and then laying a sheet of paper over the top, the back of which is then vigorously hand rubbed to transfer a reverse image onto the paper producing a unique print. These prints have a wonderful simplicity and texture which is impossible to achieve by any other means
